Richard Simeonoff

Richard Simeonoff’s new EP, “Listen to This”, is a tongue-in-cheek way of delivering that exact message; that he wants you to hear these songs. Following up his 2022 debut LP “Oh Well”, the 5 songs on “Listen to This”explore our changes in life, and how we navigate them; through love, death, and, at times, the absurd. Richard turned to producer Trevor Spencer (Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty) at Way Out Studios to help bring the songs to life in a new way. That working relationship brought out more than expected for Simeonoff. “Some of these songs were written from a place that I felt too personal to be any good, but Trevor showed me that some of those places lie where I just can’t see the road, but it’s there.” Listen to This, Richard hopes, is more than just a catchy slogan, because “there are things that are universal in these songs, and I just hope we can connect through them.”
