Go Fever

Biography

Go Fever is an Austin-based indie rock band fronted by Australian singer-songwriter Acey Monaro with Keith Lough (guitar), Ben Burdick (bass) Jim Campo (guitar, keys) and Stijn Dobbelaere (drums).

Daydream Hawker, a 5 track EP recorded at Public Hi-Fi, Austin, engineered by Brad Bell (War On Drugs, Arcade Fire) and mixed by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gruff Rhys, Perfume Genius), was released February 1st 2019.

Heavily influenced by late 70’s New Wave, the band’s sound has often been compared by music writers and DJs to The Cars and Elvis Costello.

Their eponymous debut LP was independently released in February 2017 and pushed its way onto the North American College and Community Top 20 Adds Chart. The Austin-American Statesman raved: “the self-titled album, built around Aussie ex-pat Acey Monaro’s solid songwriting, was one of 2017 strongest debuts”.

Go Fever will be touring Daydream Hawker nationally throughout 2019, including performances at SXSW and Treefort Fest.
