Kinky Machine

Biography

Kinky Machine makes postmodern garage juju. It’s smart. It hits hard. And its got a backbeat like a bulldozer. Launched in late 2011 Austin, Texas with their debut ep, Drag, Kinky Machine have shortly become part of the backbone of Austin’s dizzying, abundant creative scene where DIY is not a style but a way of life. Their work ethic and unflinching creative commitment got the band singled out this year for The Good Music Club, a concert series curated by DJ and Austin music maven, Laurie Gallardo.

Amid the torrential gush of shows they play on the local club circuit, Kinky Machine has self-recorded and self-released the single, Tunnel of Colors, as well as their 2nd EP, Capital A, and their full length debut, Grok, is due September 2013. Kinky Machine is Waldo Wittenmyer on synths/keys, Matt Muehling on guitar, Sam Pankey on bass, Ethan Kennedy on guitar and lead vocals, with Jeff Olson drumming.
