24 independent artists across Seattle, Austin, and Colorado will receive support for more than 220 tour dates.

Sonic Guild is proud to announce the final recipients of our 2026 Tour Support Grant program, providing direct funding to 24 independent artists as they take their music beyond their home cities and onto the road.

Touring remains one of the most important ways artists build audiences, deepen connections with fans, and create sustainable careers. It is also increasingly expensive. Gas, flights, lodging, vehicle rentals, food, crew, and the unexpected costs of life on the road can quickly turn an important career opportunity into a financial risk.

Tour Support Grants are designed to help close that gap.

As Colorado grantee iies. put it:

“This grant quite literally was the means of living our dream or staying home.”

For some artists, the support helps offset costs that extend well beyond the days spent on the road.

“In order to do this tour I had to take unpaid leave from work. This grant will help offset that cost and build a security blanket in case there are unexpected costs on the road.”Tiny Vipers

For others, it can make a first tour feel possible. The Rat Utopia Experiment shared that this will be the young band's first tour:

The realities of touring are especially challenging for independent musicians balancing their art with jobs and everyday expenses.

“With every single aspect of touring being more expensive, this grant will immensely help the touring musician be able to actually turn a profit. We’re so grateful to have this grant help us grow our band and business.”The Animeros

The funding also allows artists to think beyond simply making it through a tour and toward building lasting audiences.

“Getting this funding helps us to continue building our fanbases in places we've never played before, enabling us to return to these towns later and continue to grow!”Big Bill

For independent artists accustomed to doing nearly everything themselves, even a relatively small amount of financial security can change the experience of being on the road.

“Receiving this grant from Sonic Guild feels like having a friend say, ‘We believe in you.’ As DIY artists, we’re used to funding and managing everything ourselves, constantly wearing different hats to keep things moving.”Shadow Work

Xanthe Alexis shared how something as simple as being able to afford lodging can have a meaningful impact on artists' well-being:

“Being able to cover a room to stay near by the clubs instead of lodging with friends, getting in late and leaving early, helps us be well rested and is so good for emotional well being during travel.”Xanthe Alexis

24 Artists. 220+ Tour Dates.

Across this final cycle, Sonic Guild is helping 24 artists take their music on the road for more than 220 tour dates.

Behind that number are hundreds of load-ins and soundchecks, thousands of miles traveled, new audiences reached, and artists taking the next step in building careers around their music.

Touring asks a lot of independent musicians. Sonic Guild's Tour Support program exists to make saying yes to the road a little more possible.

To all of this cycle's grantees: safe travels, great shows, good crowds, functional vans, easy load-ins, and at least a few decent nights of sleep along the way. We're rooting for you.
