Announcing the 2026 George Reiff Producer Grant Recipients

Today, Sonic Guild is proud to announce the eight recipients of the 2026 George Reiff Producer Grant, awarding $60,000 to producers across Austin and Seattle who are creating new work alongside artists in their communities.
Now in its third year, the George Reiff Producer Grant celebrates the often unseen collaborators who help shape the records we love. Producers are equal parts creative partner, engineer, mentor, and problem solver, helping artists transform ideas into fully realized recordings. This grant provides each recipient with $7,500 to support a new recording project with an artist who might not otherwise have access to professional production services.

Every year, the George Reiff Producer Grant highlights the vital role producers play in strengthening local music communities. By supporting these creative partnerships, the program removes financial barriers, encourages artistic risk-taking, and helps bring new music into the world.
The grant honors the legacy of George Reiff, an acclaimed producer, musician, collaborator, and mentor whose generosity and dedication left a lasting impact on the Austin music community. The program was made possible through the vision and generosity of Sonic Guild member Chris Armour, with early guidance from Jim Eno of Spoon, and continues to invest in producers who embody George's spirit of excellence, collaboration, and mentorship.
At Sonic Guild, we believe thriving music communities are built by investing not only in artists, but in the people who help artists create their best work. Producers are an essential part of that ecosystem, and we're honored to celebrate and support their contributions.
Congratulations to all eight recipients. We can't wait to hear the music these collaborations create.
