Learning From the People Shaping Music
Supporting artists means more than funding great music.
It also means creating opportunities for musicians, industry professionals, and music lovers to learn from one another, share knowledge, and strengthen the communities where music thrives.
Throughout the year, Sonic Guild hosts educational programs that bring together artists and industry leaders for conversations about creativity, career development, and the ever-changing music industry.
Whether you're an emerging musician, an experienced creative, or simply passionate about local music, our programs are designed to make knowledge more accessible and build stronger creative communities.

What We Offer
Educational programming varies by chapter and throughout the year, but often includes:
Artist panels and conversations
Music industry workshops
Professional development sessions
Marketing and business education
Touring and career sustainability discussions
Community networking events
Special guest speakers and industry experts
Every program is built around practical knowledge, meaningful conversations, and real experiences from people working in music today.
Shoreline Music Summit
In Seattle, one of our signature educational events is the Shoreline Music Summit.
The Summit brings together musicians, producers, managers, labels, presenters, and industry professionals for a day of panels, workshops, networking, and community building.
Designed to help artists grow sustainable careers, the Summit creates space for learning, collaboration, and new connections across the Pacific Northwest music community.
Learning Happens Year-Round
Beyond our larger events, Sonic Guild regularly offers workshops, artist talks, and educational programming throughout the year.
Topics change based on the needs of the music community, but every session is rooted in our mission of helping artists build lasting, sustainable careers.
Whether you're looking to better understand touring, marketing, grant opportunities, publishing, recording, or the business behind the music, there's always something new to learn.
